Job Description
A leading biopharmaceutical company is seeking a motivated and collaborative Senior Scientist to join its Preclinical Research team.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to translational in vitro model development, including organoids, organ-on-chip systems, and advanced microphysiological platforms supporting therapeutic discovery and development programmes.

The successful candidate will help accelerate preclinical evaluation of therapeutic candidates, with a particular focus on disease-relevant in vitro models within immunology and inflammatory disease research.

Skills & Experience Required
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Relevant PhD with at least 2 years’ experience in organoid culture and organ-on-chip model development
Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience with:FACS
MSD
ELISA
qPCR assays
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex in vitro systems
Strong communication and presentation skills
Experience presenting scientific concepts clearly to multidisciplinary teams

Principal Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimise organoid-based disease models for immunology and inflammation research
Develop and execute in vitro assays using single- and multi-organ-on-chip platforms
Perform and interpret analytical techniques including FACS, MSD, ELISA, and qPCR
Troubleshoot assay development and model system challenges
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality experimental data
Prepare protocols, SOPs, and technical documentation
Contribute to scientific reports and internal communications
Present findings in team and project meetings
